Golf is My Favorite Sport and Putting is My Favorite Game

I love hitting the golf ball. There is something about putting a little ball on a peg and knocking the hell out of it that makes me want to do it again.
No doubt about it, golf is a sport. It requires good hand-eye coordination, as well as control of both large and small muscle groups. It requires force as well as finesse.

You are are faced with shots that you try to hit 300 yards, and others that only need to go 20 yards. But no matter how far the golf shot, you are still trying to hit a general area. The acceptable area gets smaller as you get nearer the hole, but it is still only a general target.

I also love short putting. There is something about the all or nothingness of the putt inside of ten feet that magnifies its importance. You are no longer trying to hit a general target, but a very specific one that is 4.25 inches and round.

Short putting never requires more than a light hit on a stationary ball, so the physical skill required to be a great putter is considerably less than that needed for golf. It requires target awareness for real success.
Better putting is a easy as changing your focus from making a putting stroke to hitting a target with a ball.
It is nothing like booming a 300 yard tee shot, or even a chip shot from 20 yards. If you carry the same technical mindset from the tee and try to putt with it, you are severely limiting your potential
Let me show you how to adjust
