Wearing golf shoes is one of the requirements when playing golf, and could be a factor why players end up victorious. Although a certain golfer is naturally talented and equipped with high-end golfing clubs, he may still lose when he is being distracted with the uncomfortable shoes he is wearing. This material is durable as it can withstand extreme environmental factors; in addition, it also has water-resistant properties. Leather shoes are able to mold to the feet of golfers; this way, these players feel more comfortable with their feet kept dry throughout the entire game.

Polyester is a lot thinner, lighter, and cheaper. Polyester golf shoes are also comfortable to wear; however, they are not as durable and waterproof as leather shoes. The new heavy duty material called Gore-Tex is way better than polyester and great to use during cold weathers. It is still comfortable to wear although it has thick layers; it is also waterproof and durable.

Golfers should wear leather or Gore-Tex golf shoes if they have the funds to participate in a golf leagues. You may also opt for polyester shoes, as they are appropriate for occasional use and less frequent golf games. Yet, the decision of what type of shoes to wear still lies on your hands.

Smooth and balanced swings are best achieved by golfers when they wear shoes with spikes. Different manufacturers use plastic or metal in making spikes. In any type of surface, plastic spikes are the best to use; but durability-wise, metal spikes are better yet they are more pricey. Keep in mind to use plastic spikes in hard surfaces, it is also advisable to use them on grassy fields.

Finally, aesthetics is also important in buying shoes. Not knowingly, a golfer's appearance influences his performance on the field. Wearing your shoes comfortably is what you need. These shoes do not have to fit with other expensive shoes you have in your wardrobe.
